His Excellency, Ambassador Kwacha Chisiza participated in a high-level Zambia-Japan business forum organized during the official visit of His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia, to Japan, alongside 60 business entities.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation, facilitating discussions between businesses and governments of Zambia and Japan about investment enhancements in mining, agriculture, infrastructure, and technology.
The Zambian president further sought support and endorsement for Dr Samuel Maimbo, the current vice president at the World Bank, as the SADC candidate for the African Development Bank (AfDB) for presidency from the Japanese government and other countries in the forthcoming elections. Five individuals are vying for the position.
