On 30th<\/sup> May, 2023, His Excellency Kwacha Chisiza, the ambassador of Malawi to Japan, received a courtesy call fromMr. Junji Koike and Ms. Manami Haraguchi, Senior Consultants at Nomura Research Institute, a prominent think tank in Japan, and Mr. Taisuke Ikawa, CEO of Float Base at the embassy offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussions centered on the company\u2019s wish to conduct a feasibility study on the establishment of satellite clinics in Malawi that will enable rural based Malawians have easy access to more advanced health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proposed Satellite clinic dimensions, is about the size of a phone booth with a seating capacity of one to two patients, solar powered, and it\u2019s a low cost running facility with a screen to provide healthcare via a video and with a medical professional as well as a medicine dispenser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The embassy welcomed the proposal and assured the company of Government\u2019s commitment in the facilitation of the project. A better part of Malawi\u2019s population is rural based with high inaccessibility to health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
