On 27th June 2023, His Excellency Ambassador Kwacha Chisiza had a meeting with Mr. Lee Kisu, Director at the Korea Exim Bank and Mr. Hyeon-Seok Park, Deputy Director at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea at the Chancery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussions of the meeting centered on Malawi\u2019s participation at the upcoming 7th Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) Ministerial Conference.
The event is scheduled to take place from 13th to 15th September 2023 in Busan, South Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KOAFEC is a major platform that brings together Korean and African policy makers to promote economic cooperation between Africa and Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme of this year aims to address energy transitions and food security issues in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference will present an opportunity for Malawi to seek collaboration and partnership with South Korea in the Agriculture and Energy sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in attendance was First Secretary Consular, Mrs Matilda Joshua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
