His Excellency, Ambassador Kwacha Chisiza, made a presentation at the Japan-Morocco Association 10th Annual Symposium under the theme “Opportunities and Challenges of the Economy in Africa,” highlighting key sectors like agriculture, tourism, mining, education, human capital, and foreign investment.
Ambassador Chisiza exposed Malawi’s opportunities in renewable energy, infrastructure development, education, startups, and innovation. He also discussed infrastructure gaps (transport networks, digital,
urbanization, and energy), regulatory issues, and funding constraints.

In conclusion, the ambassador shared that collaboration among governments, the private sector, and international partners is essential to overcome these challenges. He said creating an environment that fosters investment and innovation has the potential to unlock pathways for sustained development
and economic growth.
